24 hour sing-a-thon

12pm Wednesday 8th May until 12pm Thursday 9th May

This May, Janus Henderson are partnering up with CASCAID to raise money for Great Ormond Street Hospital. Our challenge is a 24 hour sing-a-thon which will be taking place in Exchange Square, London from 12pm on Wednesday 8th May until 12pm on Thursday 9th May.

This is a great cause and we want to raise as much money as possible. As such we want to open this up to our friends in the industry to come and sing-along with us! We have Power Hours available for you to take part, and don’t worry the 1am- 5am slot when London will be fairly sleepy will be taken by our offices in Asia, Denver and Australia to keep it “Rocking all over the World!”

Please follow this link to see the selection of songs we have to choose from.

Who are CASCAID and GOSH?

CASCAID
CASCAID brings together colleagues from around the asset management industry (and friends and family) to raise money for charity. After a successful 2017, when we raised over £2.35 million for CRUK, CASCAID is now fundraising for Great Ormond Street Hospital.

CASCAID is led by our Ambassadors – individuals who undertake challenges, organise events and galvanise others to raise money. Fundraising events are on an individual basis, within teams, on a company level and across the industry. CASCAID aims to get lots of people supporting this amazing charity in lots of different ways. Our aim is to build a new cardiac catheter lab for GOSH – their current one is not fit for purpose. CASCAID is inclusive – everyone is welcome. It’s not a corporate cheque-writing exercise (although corporate donations are very welcome!). It’s about ordinary people rolling their sleeves up, giving time and effort for great causes. If you’d like to raise money, just get in touch via www.cascaidcharity.com
GOSH
Every day brings new challenges at Great Ormond Street Hospital (GOSH). Every day, 619 children and young people from across the UK arrive for life-changing treatments. Every day, young lives hang in the balance as patients, families and staff battle the most complex illnesses. Every day, the brightest minds come together to achieve pioneering medical breakthroughs that change the lives of thousands of children – and change the world.

Despite the greatest challenges a child can face, the hospital is a place where being sick does not always mean being sad. And it’s a place where you’ll find – today and every day – some of the bravest people you could ever meet.

This extraordinary hospital has always depended on charitable support, and every day is a chance for you to make a difference.

Great Ormond Street Hospital Children's Charity supports the hospital and its patients by funding four key areas:

- Life-saving medical equipment
- Research into children's health
- Support for families and children
- Rebuilding and refurbishment
